The successful SHIFT 2020 sparked inspiration with cutting-edge circular economy business models and solutions, and by meeting the people behind them. 26 exclusive exhibitors and over 300 SHIFT experts met with 260 exhibitors and 4500 visitors from the Swiss Plastics Expo.
Denmark was the guest country for SHIFT 2020, and the Innovation Symposium on Wednesday, 22 January 2020 included top-level speakers and insights. In-depth innovation and new partnerships are key to the initiation of new business opportunities.

Unique highlights included the Impulse Keynotes by Sara Wingstrand (Ellen McArthur Foundation) on the New Plastics Economy, Anne Louise Thon (SDG Invest) on the subject of fund investments in Circular Economy, the 30 top speakers on the Expo stages in Halls 1 and 2, and that 20% of the SHIFT 2020 Lucerne exhibitors have their headquarters in French-speaking Switzerland.
The CES Policy Roundtable on "Circular Economy: Opportunity for Vocational Education and Training? (organized by sanu durabilitas), the Mattress Innovation Workshop (organized by Pusch) and the CES Stakeholder Workshoo (organized by Ecos) made it possible to develop the circular economy further with specific activities.
